How to Get a Copy of Your Bank Statement

💬Introduction

When using the PIN Network for proof of source of funds, proof of address, or to verify a bank account - you’ll need to provide an up-to-date copy of your bank statement.

To make this easier, we’ve put together a step-by-step guide on how to locate or download your bank statements from major New Zealand banks.

🟢 Kiwibank

Steps:

  1. Log in to Kiwibank Internet Banking.

  2. Click Settings at the top of the screen.

  3. Under Transactions and Accounts, click Statement Vault.

  4. Click Download for each statement and it will save as a PDF.

  5. View and print your downloaded statements using a PDF reader.

🔵 ANZ

Using goMoney app:

  1. Go to Profile > Statements & Documents.

  2. Choose an account and a date range to see available documents.

    • For home loan documents: choose a home loan account to find statements, or select Other Documents for home loan advice.

  3. Select a document.

  4. To email, print, or download:

    • iOS: use the box and arrow icon (email), printer icon (print), or Save to Files (download).

    • Androidâ„¢: select the three-dot menu (top right) then choose Send file, Print, or Download.

Using Internet Banking:

  1. Choose an account to export transactions from.

  2. Select Export.

  3. Choose a date range and file format.

  4. Select Export and save the file.

🟡 ASB

Using the ASB Mobile app:

  1. Log into the ASB Mobile app.

  2. On the accounts screen, tap the account or credit card you want.

  3. When the summary screen opens, tap More options.

  4. Select Statements.

  5. You’ll see the last 12 months of statements (if available).

  6. To share or download:

    • Android: tap the share icon (top right).

    • iOS: tap the share icon (bottom of screen).

For older statements, log into FastNet Classic Internet Banking.

🔵 BNZ

Log in to BNZ Internet Banking.

  1. From the main page, click Menu > Documents.

  2. Click Statements and select an account.

  3. Click the statement you want to view.

  4. To save: click Download.

    • The statement will save automatically to your downloads folder.

    • A tick icon and Done will appear to confirm it has saved.

  5. If you see a blank screen, check you’re using the latest browser version.

  6. Open the statement from your downloads folder and use your browser’s Print function if needed.

🔴 Westpac

In the Westpac app:

  1. Choose the account you want from the Accounts screen.

  2. Select the three dots next to the account name, then Download statements.

  3. Choose a statement from the list, or set a custom date range.

  4. Select View statements, then choose your statement.

  5. Use the share button (top right) to print, save, or share.

In Online Banking:

  1. Choose the account you want from the Accounts screen.

  2. If on desktop, select Download statements.

    • If on mobile, select the three dots, then Download statements.

  3. Choose a statement or set a custom date range.

  4. Select View statements, then download or print.

✅ Final Tips

Ensure your statement is recent (within the last 3 months).

  1. The statement must show:

    • Your full name

    • Your account number

    • The bank logo

  2. Save your statement as a PDF for easy upload to the PIN Network.
